No Way Back Today

Onions At A Crime Scene's "No Way Back Today Reunion Tour" began with an invitation-only friends and family show at the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa (pictured above). The official tour consisted of three dates in three unique, incredible music venues. Onions At A Crime Scene was able to book these venues through the efforts of some friends of Eric's in the broadcast industry. Scroll down to check out the tour venues!

Onions at a crime scene tour stops

first avenue

Picture
First Avenue is more than just four walls, a soundboard, and a stage; it is the epicenter of live music and entertainment in Minneapolis. Having celebrated its 45th Anniversary in 2015, First Avenue is one of the longest running independently owned and operated clubs in the United States. First Avenue was the first stop on the reunion tour and clued the Onions that they were part of a truly special collaboration.

Atomic Cowboy

Atomic Cowboy in St. Louis is known for music performances every night of the week and a creative "fresh mex" menu. With a huge outdoor patio and fire pit in addition to a full bar both inside and outside, Atomic Cowboy is a suitable place to let loose all year round. The second stop of the tour found the Onions in St. Louis for their only outdoor show and a moment that brought them to tears over something they could never have seen coming.

Bottom Lounge

Bottom Lounge is a concert hall on Chicago’s West Loop. The main concert hall is a 700 capacity sized room Bottom Lounge also houses the Volcano Room, a 300 capacity mixed use space and a full restaurant specializing in American Midwest fare. The third and final stop on the Onions reunion tour. The Onions were not prepared for what they were to experience at this iconic music venue prior to their final performance. It literally brought the four to their knees.

This Taylor Swift concert Eric's family attended played a role in inspiring the Onions  to adopt something she does to interact with fans during performances. As an added plus for Eric the song that blared over the speakers before the concert began was Joan Jett and The Blackhearts song "Bad Reputation". Eric knew then he was going to enjoy the show. He did.
